ProGuard can only detect constant name arguments, like Class.forName("mypackage.MyClass"). I think it will work... The given class member can't be mapped to the given name, because it would conflict with another class member that is already being mapped to the same name. You may need to change the build target in your project.properties file or build.gradle file to that recent version.
