Visual Studio 2008 Cannot Create Ssis Project
Yet when VS loads, there is no SQL Server Object Explorer to be found. At that point, they can be copied and opened in the earlier tools (E.g. Details: The report definition has an invalid target namespace ‘http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2016/01/reportdefinition' which cannot be upgraded. (rsInvalidReportDefinition) Any ideas why i'm getting this error and how to get around it? i am stuck. have a peek here
I do see the Data Tool link and it does bring up Visual Studio. If you have followed all the steps above, your package should at least load the designer by now. Also, the Windows Services panel confirms SQL Server Integration Services 10.0 is running.

The report definition may have been created with a later version of Reporting Services, or contain content that is not well-formed or not valid based on Reporting Services schemas. The original version was based on Visual Studio 2005, and subsequent releases of SQL Server stayed in step with more recent versions of Visual Studio.
