I tried bcdedit, repairing the system, whatever.
It was so hard to determine what was what. Only some parameters on the bootrec have changed: bootrec /fixmbr bootrec /fixboot bootrec /rebuildbcd But nevertheless it worked. Winload.exe is initiated by another protocol, BOOTMGR which is the boot manager featured in Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista.

After trying several cloning software options, I eventually captulated and created a Windows 8.1 installation disk in a final attempt to try to repair the MBR.
