If you did not create those files, they are likely to be very important files that the system uses, unseen to you. Was a royal pain in the butt to get it fixed but alas like my wifes pregnancy the destination was definitely more enjoyable than the journey. Then I switched the IDE controllers and that didn't indicate any problems either.
