If you have Windows Explorer open on drive D:, or perhaps have a word processing document open that lives on that disk, the same situation applies. I can capture the entire boot process and more that way. Under the tools tab, under Error Checking, I clicked on Check Now and got the following pop up screen. Then run check disk with one check at a time. "Automatically fix file system errors" will run at start up time.
