All computers should be in the same workgroup for computer browsing to function properly. Turn off any firewalls for debugging. I'm not looking forward to doing it for numerous folders either, but at least now I don't need to throw 2 computers out the window. both vista and win7 machines see each others ‘users' files but when you click on them the folders are empty. Neither computer "sees' the other one. Any suggestions?
I need to access the shared folder on the Vista Business machine from this laptop. The best one I found on the web! It can access the internet fine, but file sharing is bazzar. Can anybody help?
Network Discovery, File Sharing, Public Folder Sharing and Printer Sharing are ON - Password Protected Sharing and Media Sharing are OFF. It can see and access the shared folder on the Vista Business PC with no problems.My other laptop has Windows Vista Home Premium.
